In 2000, in a London courtroom, Deborah Lipstadt exposed a Holocaust denier [David Irving] who was suing her for libel for claiming that he had deliberately manipulated historical evidence in order to refute that the Holocaust happened, and to advance his anti-Semitic and white supremacist ideology.

This site contains the trial-room testimony and Judge Charles Gray’s historic opinion which found Irving to be a “right-wing pro-Nazi polemicist” who “deliberately misrepresented and manipulated historical evidence.”

I have positively rated this site before but have now been moved to write an entry because I’m hearing more and more people denying that the Holocaust happened – or that if it did then “it has been exagerated by the Jews…” and even that “it was a conspiracy by the Jews so that they could get Israel”.

It disgusts me that people can deny history to suit/justify their anti-Semitism.

… Coincidentally these tend to be the same people who seem to be able to find a conspiracy theory for pretty much anything. For example I have already been told that “the French bombed the London Underground because they were angry that Britain won the Olympic bid/ opposes them in Europe etc” or that the bombings “were organised by Blair and the rest of the British Government.”
