Fossil find solves ancient fish mystery

An ancient form of Daphnia (water flea) has been found in deposits in Scotland. This 410-million-year-old fossil dates from the geological time period when fish began to colonise land-locked freshwater and provides evidence, for the first time, of what these early freshwater fish ate.
