Peacock butterfly – its caterpillars feed on nettles
Patches of stinging nettles spring up all over my garden. As long as they’re not swamping plants I want to keep, I tend not to bother to clear them because nettles are great for wildlife, supporting about 40 species of insect, including some colourful butterflies.
See the site for all kinds of stuff about nettles – and perhaps see them in a different light!
